Hot Apple Dapple Cider
Ingredients

Hot Apple Cider
Red or Green Apples
Cinnamon Sticks
Choose apples that will stand up by themselves and will not roll over. Slice off the tops and core the center leaving the bottom intact. Scoop out the middle like you would a pumpkin. Make absolutely sure there are no seeds remaining. Warm the apple cider in a pot, or make from pouches of apple cider mix. Let cool enough to safely drink, then pour into the apple cups you just made. Garnish each with a cinnamon stick if desired.

Hot Apple Dapples
Ingredients

Red or Green Apples
Brown Sugar
Real Butter
Cut the ends off of the apples and core. Slice each apple in half. Take a stick of butter and rub one end on the bottom of a casserole pan, glass is preferred. Place each half apple face down in the pan. Sprinkle a generous helping of brown sugar over the apples. Put dots of butter (about a 1/2 tsp) between each apple. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake slowly at 300-325 degrees Fahrenheit until apples are soft enough to cut with a fork. Garnish each plate with a cinnamon stick if desired. Delicious a la mode.
